7 Moments in Black and White

7 Moments in Black and White

Last week was a short week because of the Thanksgiving Holidays in the U.S. It's a time of family cheers (or jeers?), a lot of food, a lot of travel, a lot of shopping and a lot of exhaustion. While I went around visiting stores, families, and friends, I was asked to take part in the black and white photo challenge.

You know what I'm talking about. It's been all over Facebook. "7 days. 7 black and white photos of your every day life. No words. No explanations. No people." At first, I wasn't sure what to take pictures of. I mean, how do you show images of your every day life? I never thought my every day life was very interesting. And during such a busy week? Ugh. But I did it anyway - see below. I added one-word titles to each photo for my own personal creativity.

In the end, I think this challenge made me more aware of my life, my surroundings, and how I am truly thankful that I am able to do and see what is in my life. It's so easy for everyone, myself included, to go straight to the negative and to think poorly of everyone. But sometimes a kind word or kind act can make all the difference in another person's life. I want to be someone who has a sound mind but also an open heart and a seeker of love. And I'm thankful for all those in my life, both past and present, who have steered me down this path of peace.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
