Marriott Tampa Water Street - REDESIGNED for 2019

It’s Labor Day weekend! Whether it’s a vacation or a staycation, I hope you have great plans for the weekend!

I recently went to Tampa to visit a friend, and stayed at the same hotel I used four years ago for a conference. Back then, the hotel was called the Marriott Tampa Waterside Hotel & Marina. After a major redesign of the hotel, it has been renamed the Marriott Tampa Water Street. Although there is currently a lot of construction going on in the area due to the JW Marriott build next door, and a potential bridge to the Tampa Convention Center (so rumor has it), the Marriott Tampa Water Street looks better than ever!

Unfortunately I was not able to walk around the meeting space, so I am not able to comment on the redesign there. I’m a little disappointed about that because I remember there being a lot of space that fit a lot of my meetings, luncheons and receptions concurrently.

On the upside, I did put together another “Tour My Hotel Room” video for the Marriott Tampa Water Street. Even though it’s not perfect, I’m proud of myself for being able to edit it on the plane ride home, and from my phone!! I know I still have a long way to go in terms of editing skills, but I am so proud of this particular baby step. Here’s the clip:
