Chef Zakarian at The Lambs Club
Tonight I was invited to check out The Lambs Club, an NYC restaurant owned by chef, restaurateur and TV personality Geoffrey Zakarian. Opened in 2010 at The Chatwal Hotel, The Lambs Club is named after the theater group that used meet at that building, formerly know as The Lambs Club before eventually converting to The Chatwal Hotel (think of members such as Cecille B. Demille and Charlie Chaplin). I will be the first to admit that when I did hear about this opening back in 2010, I thought it has to do with the menu. My guffaw! Still, I was happy to check out the venue for the space, if not to sample a little food! And I happen to know the guys at C&A Seneca had a big part in building this out (I follow them on Instagram because apparently I visit a lot of the restaurants/hotels they've built!). But my big surprise tonight was seeing Chef Zakarian on site tonight. Don't believe me?
So where was I? In the Mezzanine Bar, just above The Lambs Club dining room, still decorated in that red pop color and wood combination. The Mezzanine Bar makes a long U-like balcony that overlooks the lobby of The Chatwal. The Lambs Club dining room is just at the bottom of the stair case, on lobby level.
I could go into all the details about the private event space, but unfortunately I've only seen The Mezzanine Bar and the Dining Room of The Lambs Club tonight. Nevertheless, I have information in case you're interested in seeing what The Lambs Club can offer: https://youtu.be/gJLES8ebP3w
If you'll excuse me, I have to find a date for dinner at The Lambs Club. Toodles!
