NOMO in Soho
Um, how did I not know about this gorgeous hotel?!
I was invited to an event at the NOMO Hotel and got to see this beautiful space. Right off the bat, the vine-covered, archway entrance immediately took my mind away from the city, and made me think I was in for a treat.
The first space one can't help but notice is the terrace to the left on the entrance. It's a lovely outdoor space, also decorated with vine-covered archways looking onto the sidewalk. The patio looks like a fun hangout, pretty and relaxed with all the wood paneling and plants, and can compete easily with any rooftop venue.
I later found out that it was connected to Nomo's Kitchen, a dining room with a rustic elegance to it - a glass rooftop, flowing curtains, and a lot of greenery and large chandeliers. A long bar, with a wall of liquor behind it, is located off to the side of this large dining room. The entire decor makes the dining room perfect for a very special occasion.
The meeting rooms are a little more sleek. Very modern, with white colors, or white and greys, on wood panel floors. They can be equipped with AV and curtains can cover the floor-to-ceiling windows if needed. The meeting rooms are not large so I think it would work best for intimate dinners or small board meetings.
On occasion, NOMO will open up the penthouse for special events (like the one I attended). The penthouse may have gorgeous views of New York City, but again, I found the space to work best for a smaller crowd. It is possible that for the event I attended, the penthouse was not open to full capacity.
Though I did not see it, I hear there is a private dining room behind a bookcase in The Library. How impressive would that be for your dinner party guests?! Perhaps that is something you could ask about when you visit!
