Make Your Own Fizzy

I couldn't believe it when I saw it! MAKE YOUR OWN SODA!

I'm always looking for cool ideas that could be interactive for attendees at my conferences and events. A popular trend has been the "make-your-own-blank" and I written about some of those ideas on this blog (see my post Meet You at the {Food} Bar). But now it's a new year so I'm looking for new ideas, like the fizzy bar!

I saw this "Make Your Own Soda" idea when I was dining at the Marina Bay Sands buffet in Singapore. It was very popular, hence the wait, so all I could do was take photos of the concept. My colleague had tried it herself and said the taste came out just the way she liked it, and just like a regular fountain drink. Alternatively, you could also give guests the option to make their own flavored water (like the cucumber or lemon water found in spas). 

Talk to your venue or your caterer about having this type of "bar" at your next event. And if you have done it, let me know what your thoughts are on it!
